The Director of Department is a full professor elected by the full-time members of the Department for three academic years. A full time Associate Professor can be also elected in case of unavailability of full professors.
According to the University rules the director appoints two deputy directors that manage the two main administrative bodies of the Department: the Research and the Teaching Committee.
The Deputy Director for teaching coordinates the work of the Teaching Committee.
The Deputy Director for research coordinates the work of the Research Committee.
For the period 2018/2021 the Director of the Department is prof. Federico Revelli, prof. Matteo Migheli is the Deputy Director for Teaching and prof. Chiara Daniela Pronzato is the Deputy Director for Research.
